Fossilized Sea Creatures Meet Modern Day Wildlife: A photographic journey of the Carden Alvar.

Cameron Curran’s love of nature started young, having spent his summers at Lake Dalrymple next to the Carden Alvar. He got connected to the Couchiching Conservancy Land Trust, based in Orillia, and became fascinated by the Carden Limestone Plain and its globally rare alvars. Eventually Cameron did a summer co-op term with the Couchiching Conservancy spending his time on the landscape he loved assisting with various conservation projects. Today, through his conservation photography, volunteering and professional career, Cameron aims to break down communication barriers that exist between people and the natural environment so that it can be protected for future generations. Connect with Cameron on Facebook at Cameron Curran Photography.
