Come to the Museum for Senior Days!

The Museum has started a new program for the West Parry Sound District's senior community. Come to the Museum on the last Wednesday of the month to enjoy the company of others while touring our current exhibitions and indulging in some refreshments.

Our next Senior Days will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 11 am to 4 pm. Tour the Museum's latest exhibitions, roam Tower Hill Heritage Gardens, play some games and socialize with friends. This month the Museum will be doing a matinee screening of the Nobel Show created by Dave Thomas beginning at 1 pm.

Exhibitions on display:

Avro Arrow: A Dream Denied -  The story of the Avro Arrow is well known and a tribute to what could have been for Canada’s aerospace industry. Often forgotten in the story of the Arrow is the impact its cancellation had on both the social and economic life of the factory towns that aided in its construction, such as Nobel and Malton. Over 200 employees worked testing Orenda engine parts that were to be used in the Arrows. By 1959 the Arrow project was cancelled and the industrial prospects of Nobel were denied with it.

Cost: $2.00 for the day OR purchase a membership and come for free!
