The Museum on Tower Hill successfully finished the re-organization of the Collections Room in 2015. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this transformation possible. Not only did volunteers play an integral role in physically transforming the Collection Storage, they made the subsequent inventory of the Collection Room possible.
As we push forward, the re-organization project has morphed into a series of initiatives and next steps. Among these are:
 |
Digitization of Photograph Collection: The Museum has over 6,000 photographs within the collection. The digitization project will work to make these photographs more accessible on the Museum's collections database. The project will require the scanning of all material as well as data entry.
If you are interested in learning more about the project or would like to volunteer please email Amy Sultana, Collections supervisor at collections@museumontowerhill.com. |
 |
Other Inventory Projects: The Museum is currently looking for volunteers to assist the Collections Supervisor in various inventory projects which will take place over the remainder of 2018 and 2019. Depending on the project, time commitment may vary, so we encourage people to reach out to us to ensure they are selecting a project that meets their needs.

Every volunteer makes a big difference! With the help of dedicated individuals like yourself, the Museum will be able to make more of its collection readily accessible to the community. The digization and inventory projects will allow individuals to access copies of original documents/photographs and will provide them with an outlet to conduct their own research.
Volunteer today to help the Museum reach this goal! To be part of the team that composes our Collection Volunteers, email collections@museumontowerhill.com today! |
