Built for the Bay:
Scoots and Everyday Ingenuity
February - December 2026
About the Exhibition
Built for the Bay: Scoots and Everyday Ingenuity dives into the history of the ‘Georgian Bay Scoot,' a distinct way of travel popular from the 1920s through the 1950s. Built for the dual purposes of leisure and necessity as many people at the time were settled in areas that were accessible by water (or ice) only.
