Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our shop.
Duties:
- Assist customers with their inquiries, provide product information, and offer recommendations
- Perform cashiering duties, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Stock shelves and replenish inventory as needed
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Assist with product displays and merchandising
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and inventory management
- Light Housekeeping duties
- Facilitating Northern Nature Exchanges and docent duties.
Skills:
- Strong retail sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory accuracy and shop cleanliness
- Experience in conducting product demos to showcase features and benefits
- Bilingual skills (English and other) to assist customers from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of technology products and ability to provide sales support in this area
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
