WHITE GLOVE TOUR
Have you ever wondered what artifacts are in the Museum's collections room?
Have you ever wondered what is stored in the Museum’s Collections Room? Curious as to the proper practices and procedures museums have to go through in order to add something into its permanent collection? Join the Museum on our White Glove Tours and have all your questions answered!

The Museum offers individuals the chance to go behind closed doors and see all the artifacts within our Collections Room. The White Glove Tours are an hour in length and take visitors through the Museum’s permanent collection. Lead by the Museum’s Collections Supervisor, individual’s will get the chance to learn about the importance of proper museum practices and what is involved in managing a collection.
Did you know that in 2015 the Museum did an overhaul of their Collections Room? The Museum participated in an international program called Re-Org Canada. This initiative allowed us to analyze our storage facility and reorganize it by identifying key issues such as accessibility and conservation. By joining us on our White Glove Tours you will learn all about this methodology, why it was important to the Museum and what it has helped us to achieve.

All proceeds raised through the White Glove Tours will be put back into the Collections Room. A lot is required to maintain the many artifacts housed within storage, and having help from dedicated patrons like yourself assists the Museum in achieving its goal of preserving our collection for future generations.

Due to the time length of the tours we ask that you book your tour two weeks in advance. For booking information and inquires please call 705-746-5365 or email info@museumontowerhill.com.
