CONDUCTING RESEARCH AT THE WEST PARRY SOUND DISTRICT MUSEUM
The West Parry Sound District Museum's Research Library is home to a variety of resources that can be used to assist in personal research or genealogy work. In the Library, visitors have access to a variety of publications specific to the Parry Sound area, such as:

Digital records are accessible to visitors through the assistance of a staff member or trained volunteer. Our volunteers can help guide your research sessions using our online database. See below for pricing options.

Assisted Research – A staff member or volunteer helps the researcher conduct primary source research inside our collections space. The researcher is briefed with correct handling of objects. This appointment should be booked in advance.

Self Directed Research – The researcher is provided with access to the Museum’s secondary sources in our Research Room and conducts their own research. Staff will be available to briefly familiarize the researcher with Museum resources and to assist with photocopying. An appointment is necessary.

Images – If you are interested in a photograph of an object in our collection whether for personal, educational, museum, or research means.
